Urine itself is relatively odourless, but bacteria present in the urinal environment degrade urine components to produce strongly smelling molecules, resulting in the characteristic ammonia-like odour. The build up of both uric and hard water scale deposits can lead to unsightly deposits in the urinal bowl. In extreme cases, scale build up within the pipe work can cause urinals to block and overflow.
Our Urinal Bowl Eco Spray is a highly effective blend of naturally occurring microbes which degrade the organic matter that smell producing bacteria normally grow on, thereby eliminating the attendant malodour. In addition, the microbes convert the uric scale into more soluble compounds, thus preventing deposit build up. A biodegradable dispersing agent prevents the formation of insoluble calcium and magnesium carbonates.
The product also reduces the flush frequency by up to 95%, thereby producing further savings in water costs.
